BEHIND THE LENS...

 

I remember loving photography even as a young child. I found great joy and fascination with snapping photos with my little wind-up camera of anything and everything that caught my eye. I remember excitedly taking my dozens of 35mm film canisters into the photo lab for processing and anxiously waiting for the moment I could open those envelopes of photos and take in the memories and perspectives captured by my unique eye and not-so-steady hand! (Thank God for the awesomeness and instant gratification of digital photography, right?!)

 

I am a laidback, go-with-the-flow person who enjoys spending time with my husband, Aron, and our two sons, AJ and Caiden. When I am not behind the camera, I work for an adoption organization which specializes in post-adoption support and advocacy, with an emphasis on finding forever families for children and teens in the foster care system. I also serve as a sexual violence crisis advocate for a local crisis center. Photography has blessed me with glimpses of beauty, joy, and innocence that often helps offset the more difficult aspects of my career and volunteer work.

 

My passion is capturing images that are natural, candid, and fun. I believe that any moment can be turned into an amazing photograph—a baby's cry, a child's smile, a hearty laugh, a loving kiss...

 

WHAT TO EXPECT...

 

All photo sessions are on-location—outdoors, in your home, or at an alternate indoor location. My goal is to provide you with an enjoyable, laidback, and stress-free experience, so I can assure you that I will be patient. Whenever possible, I will set aside a generous amount of time for your session. I am not someone who likes to rush through a photo session—so, if you have time, I do as well! Roughly 2 or 3 weeks following your session, you will receive your digital images on a disc, along with a photo release.
